Bourgas is one of the biggest industrial cities in Bulgaria. The city is a municipal center, thus combining  a great part of the government and business administration. Bourgas is famous for its numerous cafes, bars and restaurants located on the main streets of the city, so especially in the summer the streets are full of young people meeting each other and having fun.

In the surroundings of the city are located the biggest rafenery on the Balkan penincular - Lukoil, The Airport of Bourgas, Sunny beach resort - the biggest Bulgarian Black sea resort, the ancient cities of Sozopol and Nessebar etc.

Fifteen kilometers away from Bourgas is the town of Pomorie which famous all over Europe for its curative mud from the Pomorie salt lake.
